Learning to Be Human

Phillipians 2: 1-11, Matthew 21: 28-32

This sermon was Dr. Bell's offering on Wellshire's cacophonous 8th Annual Blessing of the Animals Sunday.  Beginning with his experience of his daughter's dog, Jack, he suggests that the essence of Jesus' teaching was learning to be human.  Taking three points from the "Christ hymn" in Philippians (2: 1-11), he declares that being human means minimally being humble, obedient and compassionate.
