Why did you choose to become a church educator?
I felt a call to ministry from a young age, but my call to educational ministry came during seminary when I took my first Christian education class.
What is your role at Wellshire?
As Church Educator, I'm responsible for ministries to children from birth through fifth grade and their families, as well as for adult education.
What is the greatest thing about working at Wellshire?
The collegial nature of the staff and the joy we share in serving together makes Wellshire a wonderful place to work and minister, as does the eagerness of the members of the congregation to inquire about their own faith and to help and to serve.
What is the biggest opportunity for our Wellshire community?
I see our greatest opportunity in our own neighborhood as we continue to let our neighbors know that we have fun living out our faith at Wellshire together.
What is your favorite Bible verse?
Isaiah 49:15 – "See! I will not forget you. I have carved you on the palm of my hand."
Where do you find inspiration?
Walking a labyrinth.
What are the things that make you happiest?
Solitude, especially outdoors with the sounds of birds and water, and seeing my children happy and successful in their life choices.
When you’re not at Wellshire, where are you likely to be?
Dancing with my husband, fishing, or reading
What is one thing that very few people know about you?
I was a professional clown.
