Local Mission

“Instead of talking about ‘the church for others,’ we should speak of ‘the church with others.’”

Transforming Mission: Paradigm Shifts in Theology of Mission,
David J. Bosch

At Wellshire Presbyterian Church, we strive to be a thoughtful and thought-provoking congregation. We seek to honor questions of faith and mission as we venture outside the walls of Wellshire to serve Christ in Denver, Colorado.

We work alongside one another — sharing in good spirits and good humor — for the common good. We seek to build relationships with all God’s people and partner with them out of friendship and hospitality. We want to know one another!

If you would like to join us in this journey of exploration and service in Denver, please contact Rev. Pattie Kitchen.

Examples of local partner organizations

Wellshire is affiliated with many non-profit organizations that strive to make a big difference in the Denver community. The local causes we support include housing and homelessness, hunger, clean water, and education.

The following list includes examples of the organizations we support.  Wellshire's Local and Global Ministries overlap in their partnerships with some of the same organizations; view the Global Opportunities for a growing list of Wellshire-supported causes.
