As Christians, we are called upon to give for the work of God’s kingdom. When you join us in supporting our church, your financial donations ensure we can continue to move forward with our mission and ministry. The resources you share extend far beyond Wellshire’s walls. Your gifts extend around the world.
How Wellshire uses donations
Wellshire uses financial donations to support a range of church services — from underwriting the cost of worship, music and the vibrant programs we have on-site, to supporting those who are hungry and homeless around the world. Giving supports our ministers as they care for people in need. It also covers the cost of utilities for operating a healthy and welcoming church.
Donations
To make it easier to give, we invite you to make online donations. You may make a one-time donation or set up recurring donations. You also may choose the frequency with which you wish to give (weekly, monthly, annually, etc).
Pledges
Whether you are new to Wellshire or simply looking ahead to a new year, please complete our online pledge form. A pledge is an estimate of giving. It’s not a contractual agreement. Your pledge helps us plan and forecast, so we can better serve the needs of our congregation and answer God’s calling around the world.
Stock and appreciated securities
Many of our members and friends have found that giving appreciated stock to the church makes good sense. Appreciated stock may give you a larger tax deduction than a comparable cash gift.
Please consult with your financial advisor to explore whether giving appreciated stock is a viable option for you!
How to give stock to Wellshire Presbyterian Church
- Step #1: Notify your broker to transfer [x] number of shares of stock to Wellshire Presbyterian Church’s account at the brokerage firm below:

- Step #2: Notify Wellshire’s Director of Operations, Chuck Sparks, personally by phone, letter or email when you transfer stock to the church. Please let him know that the gift is coming, the date the transfer will be made to the church, and to what specific purpose(s) you want the gift credited. Do not rely on your broker. The policy of the Wellshire Session is that all gifted securities be sold immediately, and the proceeds deposited promptly into the church account.
