Sandwiched between caring for children at a variety of stages and aging parents, adults can often find it difficult to care for themselves, especially spiritually. Heroes are those who are learning what it means to care for their own soul and nurture their faith while caring for others, including those in need locally and around the world.
Challenging Biblical Texts
May 13-May 20 (combined with Breakfast Club)
Rev. Paul Neshangwe will lead us in examining some of the most difficult passages to interpret and apply. We begin by examining how we approach scripture, why the texts are so difficult, why they might have been included in the Canon and what meaning they might have for us today. On May 13, we’ll be looking at Deuteronomy 7:1-6 (the destruction of seven nations) and I Corinthians 11:2-16 (the role of women).
